Waiting on Wednesday: Prodigy by Marie Lu

****"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly event hosted by Jill at the Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.****

My pick for this week is:
Prodigy (Legend, #2)
Prodigy by Marie Lu
Expected publication: January 29th 2013 by Putnam Juvenile
Jan. 4. 1932 Hours.
Ocean Standard Time
Thirty-Five Days After Metias’s Death

June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: the Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request—June and Day must assassinate the new Elector.
It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.
But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengence, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?

Legend was an amazing read. I loved it with all my heart. The wait for Prodigy so far has been killer and it's nowhere near January. I know its going to be an amazing sequel because Legend was so good. The plot was so exciting and the characters were great. Plus both Legend and Prodigy have beautiful covers and the fonts inside the book are colored too. If you haven't read Legend I highly recommend. It's such a great read.

  1. Oy, I am so excited for the release of this book. I'm so upset it's so far away, though! This book looks like it is made of awesome. I cannot wait for this one, either. Great pick!
