The Iron King Review

The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1)
Reading Level:Young Adult
Publisher:Harlequin Teen
First in a series
Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined.
Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.
When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.
But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

Review
The Iron Knight had like a fairy tale feel. The writing is magical and extremely different. I've never read a faerie book quite like this. I like how the action starts right off the bat. Within like the first five chapters something was happening. I love the attention to detail. The cover is beautiful and I love the vines on each new chapter. The creeptastic little brother was a nice touch. I have a feeling we haven't heard the last from the iron king. I've heard that there's a love triangle coming. I know who I'm voting for. Ash is swoon worthy hot! Puck totally cracks me up. I love him. Grimalkin kinda reminds me of the cat from Alice in wonderland. He's super cute and hilarious. The storyline had lots of twists and was very exciting. Overall I really enjoyed this and am early awaiting reading the sequel. I highly recommend this. 5/5 stars
