Top Ten Tuesday (21)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of us will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All that's asked is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

This weeks topic is Top Ten Beach Reads. There's not a beach close to me, but I think I can manage.

  1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians-Fast and fun with a main character who is the son of the god of the ocean. It's  not exactly a light contemporary read but it's still perfect for the beach.
  2. John Green books- Short but not exactly light. If you don't mind crying in public these are perfect.
  3. Stephanie Perkins books-These books are some of my favorite contemporaries out there. They are so funny and absolutely adorable. They are so addicting you might have to remember to pack sunscreen.
  4. Jessi Kirby books-Some of my other favorite books. Short and sweet and easy to fly through very quickly.
  5. Of Poseidon by Anna Banks-Mermaids and kissing. What else could you want?
  6. Retellings-The perfect way to escape-if you need too.
Those are my picks! Not exactly 10 but some count for more. What did you pick this week?
Marissa

  1. Ooh, the Percy Jackson is actually a really, really great summer read! They're so fast, and well, awesome, if we're being honest. Stephanie Perkins is also another awesome summery author. I haven't picked up Lola yet, but I plan to this summer.

    Lovely list, Marissa! <3
