Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)
Reading Level: Young Adult
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Source: Bought
First book in the Pushing the Limits series
No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.
Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

Review
This book never really interested me. But, the more amazing reviews I read the more I wanted to read it. I am so glad I took a chance with this one. It's not my typical read but I loved it so much! I read it in a day while nursing a headache so it has to be good.

This one tells the story of Echo and Noah. It's told from both of their perspectives. Echo is known as the freaky girl with the scars. She has no memory of how the scars came. She does remember is that one night her life was changed forever. Noah treats Echo differently than anyone else. Echo wasn't looking for love but she can't deny the sparks between her and Noah.

Echo and Noah were beyond amazing characters. They were both so complex. They hadn't had the best lives. I think they not only found themselves in each other but they found hope too. I can't imagine being in either or their places. I really enjoyed Echo. I loved how strong she was. She had an amazing personality. Noah isn't the type of character I normally enjoy but I absolutely adored him. I loved how caring he was. Even if he wasn't sure what was right, I loved how hard he worked for what he wanted. Noah and Echo really grew throughout the story. I loved seeing them not only grow together but individually as well. I also loved that they stuck together. They had an amazing relationship.

I think it's safe to say this book was an emotional roller coaster. The storyline tore my heart out. It was so moving. These characters had some hard stuff to deal with and they handled it amazing. I can admit I shed some tears while reading. But I also had my OMG so cute moments and they evened themselves out :). I read this so fast it was crazy. I couldn't put it down. I had to know how things were going to end. Then it was over and I wanted more! I cannot wait to read more from this author. Overall I am so glad I read this. It had some really amazing aspects and I really loved it! I highly recommend.
