Of Triton by Anna Banks Review

Of Triton (The Syrena Legacy, #2)
Reading Level: Young Adult
Publisher: Feiwel & Friends
Source: Bought
Second book in the Syrena Legacy series
Emma has just learned that her mother is a long-lost Poseidon princess, and now struggles with an identity crisis: As a Half-Breed, she’s a freak in the human world and an abomination in the Syrena realm below. Syrena law states that all Half-Breeds should be put to death.
As if that’s not bad enough, her mother’s reappearance among the Syrena turns the two kingdoms—Poseidon and Triton—against one another. Which leaves Emma with a decision to make: Should she comply with Galen’s request to keep herself safe and just hope for the best? Or should she risk it all and reveal herself—and her Gift—to save a people she’s never known?
Once again, Anna Banks infuses Emma and Galen's points of view with humor, intrigue, and waves of romance.

Review
Talk about a sequel! This was such a great addition to this series. It was super fun while being very exciting!

This continues Emma's story. After learning about her moms past she's been kidnapped. But even her mom cant run away from her past. At her reappearance the two sides of Syrena turn against each other. Only Emma can fix it all.

Emma is the best main character. She has the perfect personality. Her snark has never been better. I loved seeing her fight for herself and what she believed in. I also loved seeing her use her gift. Oh Galen, how I've missed you. Galen also has the perfect personality. He was so caring and loving. But he's also pretty fierce when he wants to be. I loved seeing him get stronger and stronger. I loved getting to see Rayna and Toraf again. They made for some awesome secondary characters.

This really did have the most exciting storyline. The action never stopped. I loved getting to see more of Syerna and learn more about it. I loved not being able to predict the storyline. This was definitely a one sitting read for me. It met my expectations easily. I cannot wait for the next book to see how it all ends!
