Author Love #19: Sarah Rees Brennan

Author Love is a meme we came up with. There are so many authors and books out there that we love so much and want the world to know about them. If you want to play along all you have to do is pick one of your favorite authors. Write what you like about them and/or their books. You can also include an author bio and synopsis of their book if you want.

My pick for this week is: Sarah Rees Brennan.
Sarah Rees Brennan

Author Bio from author's website-
Sarah Rees Brennan was born and raised in Ireland by the sea, where her teachers valiantly tried to make her fluent in Irish (she wants you to know it’s not called Gaelic) but she chose to read books under her desk in class instead. The books most often found under her desk were Jane Austen, Margaret Mahy, Anthony Trollope, Robin McKinley and Diana Wynne Jones, and she still loves them all today.
After college she lived briefly in New York and somehow survived in spite of her habit of hitching lifts in fire engines. She began working on The Demon’s Lexicon while doing a Creative Writing MA and library work in Surrey, England. Since then she has returned to Ireland to write and use as a home base for future adventures. Her Irish is still woeful, but she feels the books under the desk were worth it.
Sarah’s newest book is Unspoken, a romantic Gothic mystery about a girl named Kami Glass, who discovers her imaginary friend is Jared Lynburn. He is one of the mysterious Lynburn family who have returned to the sinister manor on the hill that looms over her town, and who may or may not be involved in dark deeds in the woods. It’s lucky that she’s a sassy girl reporter determined to discover all the secrets that have been kept from her by the town, Jared, and her own family. Buy Unspoken through Random House, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

So I picked Sarah Rees Brennan not only because her books are amazing but because of her evilness. I think she might be one of the most evil authors I've come across! But its always a good evil. Well sometimes its a good evil. The funny thing is she knows shes evil! I think it makes her happy to be evil. One thing I really like about this author is how fun she is! She is super funny! I love her commentary on the TV shows she watches. She always replies on Twitter if you tweet her. She always has all kinds of teasers to hold us over! She is a very social author and it's the best! I really want to meet her so hopefully she comes back to TX soon. If you have no idea who this author is, we might have a problem! First, you need to follow her on Twitter. Second, you need to read her books! And after you have done all those things, come talk to me about her books and her evilness :). Sounds fun right? Get on that!
