Author Love is a meme we came up with.
There are so many authors and books out there that we love so much and want the
world to know about them. If you want to play along all you have to do is pick
one of your favorite authors. Write what you like about them and/or their books.
You can also include an author bio and synopsis of their book if you
want.
My pick for this week is Sophie Jordan.
From her website: Sophie Jordan grew up in the Texas hill country where she wove fantasies of dragons, warriors, and princesses. A former high school English teacher, she's also the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of Avon historical romances. She now lives in Houston with her family. Why I picked her:
I absolutely adore Sophie Jordan's Firelight series. I've read all three and I think they are so incredibly original. The romance isn't bad either ;). I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. I got to meet her last year at Austin Teen Book Festival before I had read her series and she was so nice. Then me and Jasmine met her at ALA Midwinter and TLA. Despite the fact that we've both met her multiple times she is always super nice and has never once asked us if we're stalkers. We're not we promise.
