One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth's much-anticipated second book of the dystopian Divergent series is another intoxicating thrill ride of a story, rich with hallmark twists, heartbreaks, romance, and powerful insights about human nature.
I want this book so bad it hurts. Here's why:

1. Divergent was absolutely fabulous and I know this one will be too.
2. The cover is gorgeous and it's over 500 pages and I just want to hold it in my hands.
3. All the book bloggers getting this book and reading it and posting teasers are making me crazy.
4. Four. I like him, I love him, I want some more of him :)

P.S. this list is in no particular order. If it was Four would be at the top I just thought his name looked cute next to the number. I know I'm weird.

  1. Words cannot express how much I've been anticipating this books' release. Divergent was one of my top favorite books of 2011. When people ask me what I think about these books, I tell them they are some of the few books I rank up there with the Hunger Games. I've met the author, and she is so cool too! And there was probably nothing cooler than listening to Veronica Roth read from the beginning on this one at the RT Booklovers Convention. It seriously made my anticipation that much greater.

And I was not disappointed. It took me a little longer than expected to finish this one. Though this was partly due to my crazy schedule this week. It's also due to the fact that it's one of those books I needed to savor. I didn't want it to be over too soon. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it. And even now, after finishing it a day ago (I'm a little behind in my posts this week), I'm still thinking about it.
