Austin Teen Book Festival 2013 Wrap Up

Austin Teen Book Festival was this past weekend! We were both lucky enough to attend. This was our first festival together so it was very exciting. This was Marissa's third festival but Jasmine's first. We had such amazing luck with the lines. We got to meet just about everyone we hoped to meet. We may have almost got the lights turned out on us but that's okay! This festival had some really amazing authors and some even more amazing people running it! We give a huge thank you to everyone who came out and all the work that was put into it!

We have become pros at changing in the bathroom after super long car rides.

Us with Maggie Stiefvater! We may have nagged her just a little about a The Scorpio Races sequel. What can we say we're determined!

Jasmine with Snarkles from Epic Reads Tea Time. She may or may not have screamed OMG the Epic Reads girls and did a happy dance. Marissa is still mad she didn't get a picture.

Jasmine with Lauren Myracle! Jasmine had the biggest fangirl over this book even though she knows nothing about it. It's honestly just that pretty!

Us with the amazing Julie Murphy! We made her a deal to take a picture with her every time we see her until her book comes out! So you'll be seeing a lot of her .

We also got to meet the lovely, blue haired Holly Black. We didn't get a picture with her, but we were all leaving at the same time so we got to creepily walk behind her and her publicist (who is also the publicist for Cassandra Clare) so that was a hold in your fangirl moment of epic proportions. 

This was one of the best events we went to this year. It's so much fun to be in a building with a ton of book lovers and authors. There was plenty of OMG moments when we spotted an author walking around in general population. We even saw one of the authors when were at a restaurant for lunch. We can't wait to go back next year.
