Dying of a broken heart is just the beginning.... Welcome to forever.
BRIE'S LIFE ENDS AT SIXTEEN: Her boyfriend tells her he doesn't love her, and the news breaks her heart—literally.
But now that she's D&G (dead and gone), Brie is about to discover that love is way more complicated than she ever imagined. Back in Half Moon Bay, her family has begun to unravel. Her best friend has been keeping a secret about Jacob, the boy she loved and lost—and the truth behind his shattering betrayal. And then there's Patrick, Brie's mysterious new guide and resident Lost Soul . . . who just might hold the key to her forever after.
With Patrick's help, Brie will have to pass through the five stages of grief before she's ready to move on. But how do you begin again, when your heart is still in pieces?

Review
Stop! Take a second to admire the prettiness of that cover. Okay, you may continue reading. This was an absolutely fantabulous read. I loved it with all my heart. It was so unique. I've never read something quite like this. I really liked that even though it was more of a fun read there was still meaning behind it. There was a lot to be taken from it.

Let me just say Brie has herself quite the adventure. She was literally the first person ever to die of a broken heart. Then she finds herself stuck somewhere in between. Brie really had to find herself before passing on. She needed to grow. She had to go through the 5 stages of grief. I thought it was so cool to watch her go through the 5 stages. It was cool to learn more about grief and see how hard it can be. Yes she had a few fallouts along the way but it all worked out in the end. Patrick made sure of that! I really liked Patrick. I found myself wishing he played a bigger part because he was such a great character. Both Brie and Patrick were very well done.

This had a very amazing storyline. I loved reading about Brie's adventure. I loved that this had its serious moments and it's calm moments. It was impossible to put this down. You needed to know how it all turned out. I loved the song lyrics for chapters. That's just one of the many unique aspects. Overall I'm so glad I read this one. I wasn't sure about it at first. It really surprised me how much I enjoyed it. If you haven't read is one, I highly recommend checking it out!
