Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme
created by The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks
and would LOVE to see your top ten lists! This weeks topic is Top Ten Bookish Resolutions for 2014. I did this last year and it's really good for staying on track. Here they are! |
- Get back on track with the blog-The horrible thing is, I said this last year. Other than blog tours, I haven't written a review all year. Jasmine has been amazing and on track, but I feel like I'm neglecting my baby. I'm going do something about it if it kills me.
- Read more and stress less-I kinda fell short on my goal last year and I don't like feeling like I haven't read anything. But at the same time there's no reason to get caught up in reaching a goal and not enjoying myself.
- Put a dent in my unread books-I seriously have stacks of books in my room I haven't read. I don't buy a lot of books, but when I do their shininess distracts me and the other books get pushed aside. I do want to read them so I need to put the books I've had for a long time on the to read stacks.
- Diversity in blog posts-Writing reviews comes first, of course, but I do want to have different posts. More discussion posts and stuff like that. Any ideas?
- Read more contemporary-Ever since I really got into reading, I lean more towards paranormal and fantasy. But last year I got into contemporary more and found some of my favorites. I have a ton I want to read so hopefully I fit them in.
- Go to TLA14-I'm hoping to go to my third Texas Library Association annual conference in San Antonio this year. It's a ton of bookish fun, but I'll feel bad if go not having caught up with my reviews. We'll see in April!
So there they are. It kind of feels like a lot, but it shouldn't be too hard. Wish me luck, guys!
Let me know in the comments what your resolutions are and if you agree with any of mine.
P.S. Speaking of discussion post type things, I was thinking of doing a post about all the last books in a series that I read last year. I don't normally do reviews on them, but if y'all want to know what I thought I would love to write a wrap up kind of thing. Please let me know!
