But in order to survive the dangerous and ancient battle of the angels and the Fallen, she must also hunt for the secrets of her past lives and truths that may be too frightening to remember

Review
This book was beyond amazing. I adore angel books. Sometimes I get tired of them just to read another one and fall in love. This was a book after my own heart. I always love a strong heroine with a snarky personality. Not only were the characters great but the plot was amazing. It was so fast paced but it still went into detail too. Everything was explained perfectly. I was never confused about what was going on.

I loved Ellie. She knows what she is but she still wants to hold onto her humanity. She always says she's not Gabriel she's Ellie. I really liked that. Gabriel can be a part of her but that doesn't mean she can't be Ellie too. At first I didnt like Will . I thought he was pushy and annoying. That feeling didn't last long. By the end I adore Will . He's amazing. One of the main reasons I love him so much is because he is willing to do anything for Ellie. They took forever to become cute. When they did it was amazing. Their absolutely adorable together. As adorable as they are their also incredibly scary. I would be scared out of my mind to come across them in a fight. Overall I'm obsessed with this book. It's amazing in every way possible. If you haven't read this go buy it. No seriously I will hunt you down and force you to read and love it :). 5/5 Stars

Review
I didn't think it could get much better than Angelfire. I was wrong. This was seriously one of the best sequels I've read in awhile. Maybe because it was absolutely adorable in every way possible. Or maybe because it has the best storyline ever. This review is mostly gonna be fan girling. Just warning you :).

I love Ellie. She's strong. Her personality is one of the reasons I love this series so much. Strong snark female heroines are hard to come by. One other thing I love about Ellie is that when she loves someone she never lets it go. I'm creepily obsessed with Will. His relationship with Ellie is adorable. He has to chose between what's right and what he wants. The whole waiting for him to come to his senses and be with Ellie was a litte annoying but in the end it was perfect. I'm really glad Cadan had a bigger part in this. I enjoy him. As long as he never puts the moves on Ellie ;).

One bad thing about this was the plot was kinda fast. Which I normally like. I read this in one sitting and it was amazing. But after I was done I was all uh what am I supposed to do now and I didn't remember much. Oh well the amazing awesomeness of it makes up for that. Of course there's some long drawn out wait for the third book. It will be worth it. I highly recommend this. Read it right now. If you don't like it I'll hunt you down tell you all the things I loved and make you love it :). 5/5 Stars

The Iron Knight Review

The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4)
Reading Level:Young Adult
Publisher:Harlequin Teen
Last book in Iron Fey series
Ash, former prince of the Winter Court, gave up everything. His title, his home, even his vow of loyalty. All for a girl… and all for nothing.
Unless he can earn a soul.

To cold, emotionless faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. His own love had died a horrible death, killing any gentler feelings the Winter prince might have had. Or so he thought.
Then Meghan Chase—a half human, half fey slip of a girl— smashed through his barricades, binding him to her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. And when all of Faery nearly fell to the Iron fey, she severed their bond to save his life. Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or Summer fey can survive.
With the (unwelcome) company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through to its end— a quest to find a way to honor his solemn vow to stand by Meghan’s side.
To survive in the Iron realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn these things are impossible. At least, no one has ever passed to tell the tale.
And then Ash learns something that changes everything. A truth that turns reality upside down, challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice

Review
This was seriously the best way to end the series. It was beyond amazing. This was basically all Ash. The author said she wrote it for all the Ash fans. I think it's perfect for both Ash and Puck fans cause both of them play a big part in it. You have no idea how sad I am to see this series end. It was so amazing and original. I can honestly admit I cried when it was over. Twice .I'm gonna miss it.

So in this we follow Ash along with some friends on his quest to become mortal. Ash was a different person in this. I saw another side of him. I don't think when he started his quest he realized how hard it would be. I really liked how we learned more about him and his past. Puck was his usual adorable and hilarious self. I kinda think he should have a spin off. I would love that. Grimalkin kinda annoyed me actually. I loved him in the other ones but for some odd reason he bothered me in this. Probably because he was always disappearing during fights. Ariella was probably the most annoying person ever. I felt bad for her but she wasn't very nice either. I'm gonna miss all these characters with all my heart :(.

Overall this book was amazing. Its incredibly unique. I'm sad but also super excited to see what this author has planned next :). 5/5 Stars

Narrative Loserdom Review

Narrative Loserdom: From Journal One
Reading Level:Young Adult
Publisher:CreateSpace
First book in a possible series
Justin Taggart doesn’t know anything (about being a loser). He likes girls and plays sports and has some friends. Unfortunately his fear of rejection outweighs his ability to deal with these well. Mostly there’s Sterling, the girl of his dreams who knows how to stop his heart by not knowing he likes her. Another thing is trying to get money with Adam, who’s rich anyway so it’s more about hanging out. As for Justin, he makes ends meet by mowing people’s yards with Adam, and sometimes by breaking into vending machines and selling late-night cable programming to peers (also with Adam). But it’s not like he doesn’t feel bad about it, since Jesus died for his sins. School is pretty terrible with all the work and practice, but there are a few people there worth mentioning. Anyone who picks up his journal will be in for something, if they feel like getting through a lot of grammar and spelling problems. They’ll probably end up seeing that they shouldn’t have looked at it anyway, because this is someone’s private anthem of girls, grass, and loserdom

Review
This was a very interesting book. It didn't really have much of a plot. It was basically the rambling of a 16 year old teenage guy. At first it was entertaining and kept my attention because he was writing basically everyday. Around the middle it started to get kinda slow. What he was writing was still interesting but he wouldn't write for like days. So that slowed it down a little.

Narrative Loserdom is a curious book about the everyday life of Justin Taggart. It was written as journal entries. The most interesting part for me was all his different jobs. He went from a lawn guy to stealing cable to selling late night tv programs along with the rare breaking into vending machines. Another part I really liked was his obsession with Sterling. Justin is kinda a creeper. Adam was pretty cool too. His odd obsession with adult videos was very interesting. I didn't really understand Justin and Adams relationship. They didn't seem to like each other very much but they were still best friends. Overall I really liked this. Its hard to explain why I liked it.I just did.It was entertaining and isnt something I would normally read.4/5 Stars

Guardians:The Girl Review

Guardians: The Girl
Reading Level:Young Adult
Publisher: Amazon Digital Services
First book in a possible series
*This was gifted by author for review*
Emmy - a bookish, witty student - is rescued by six teenaged angels with powers, called Guardians. They've been sent to elicit the secret from her before the demons can. Emmy later learns that her name is the only clue to locating a sought-after bridge that for centuries, Evil has plotted to destroy; this would in turn bring about the end of humanity.

Things get worse when Emmy falls madly in love with Marcus, the well-intentioned but obstinate leader of the Guardians. He eventually confesses that he is in love with her as well. Unfortunately, Marcus has been warned by his clairvoyant and omniscient guide that should he and Emmy get together, the mission will fail and humanity will perish

Review
Words can't even describe my love for this book. It was beyond amazing. It was so original. I've never read an angel book like this. Every angel has a different power. Not only do they have wings but they get an awesome power too. That's just not fair. This is one of those book that you want to jump into. It was very hard to put down.

I really liked Emmy. She handles things pretty well. Sometimes she broke down but she's human what do you expect. At times she was a little desperate. That got kinda annoying. Marcus is amazing. I absolutely adore him. There was one thing that bothered me. He said he was going to stay with Ameana but by the end he wanted Emmy. I like Emmy better but I didn't like how it took the whole book for Marcus to make up his mind. Other then Marcus my two favorite guardians were Reese and Rio. Their powers were the best in my opinion. I didn't think we saw enough of Reese. Of course both my favorite characters might not have a big part in the sequel :(. Jay was awesome. I'm not really sure what his power was though. Ameana was incredibly annoying. I feel bad for her but she's a jerk. I loved Miku too. She was super sweet.

The storyline was fantastic. It had so many twists and turns. The excitement never stopped. Overall I love this book with all my heart. It has everything a book needs. Amazing characters and a fast paced plot. With that ending there better be a sequel. I might hurt someone if there isnt. Hopefully there will be and it won't take forever to come out. I highly recommend this. 5/5 Stars

Review
This was seriously the most hilarious book ever. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. At first I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about this. It's middle grade. I rarely read middle grade. But I'm very glad I got a chance to read this. The storyline was fast paced and very unique . The characters were super cute and the pictures were great. When I first saw that there were pictures I thought that this book wasn't' for me. In the end I wanted to go find a ton of kids and read it together. The whole time I was reading I was giggling like an idiot. This story is told by Derek the ghost. Derek takes us on a wild adventure through everyday life at scary school. Right off the bat we meet crazy students and even crazier teachers My favorite students have to be Charles Nukid or Petunia. As for my favorite teacher it's between Ms Fang or Mr Turtlesnap. This is one of those books you don't judge by its cover. It's perfect for middle grade and elementary. But I think anyone could enjoy it. Overall I really enjoyed this and I recommend it to anyone looking for a cute and hilarious book :). 5/5 Stars

Review: Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1)
Reading Level: Young Adult
Publisher: Little, Brown & Company

Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.

In a dark and dusty shop, a devil's supply of human teeth grown dangerously low.

And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.

Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real; she's prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands"; she speaks many languages—not all of them human; and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she's about to find out.

When one of the strangers—beautiful, haunted Akiva—fixes his fire-colored eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?

This book was fabulous. I've never read a book set it Prague but now I totally want to read more it was awesome. The writing was so beautiful and descriptive it made you feel like you were actually there and I love books like that.

The characters were amazing. Karou was awesome. She was so strong and brave but at the same time she was lonely and even though she had this incredible life she felt like something was missing and that made her so relatable. Also I'm totally jealous of her hair it's the best hair ever.Akiva was so complex and broken and I loved him and his story and I want more of him. Like now. The romance between Karou and Akiva seemed a little rushed at first but then all this stuff is explained and it just so perfect. I really liked Brimstone and all of Karou's monster 'family' for monsters they were so loving at times. Karou's best friend Zuzana might be my favorite character she was so funny and accepting of how strange Karou's life is

The plot was so fast paced and incredibly different and there was so many twists and turns. The whole time I was reading it I kept wondering how on earth did the author come up with this stuff and put all of it in a book and make it work so well. There was angels and chimaera's and magic and romance and glimpses of the past. Basically everything you could possibly want in a book plus beautiful writing, an awesome setting and a gorgeous cover. There is so many amazing things I could say about this book but I don't want to spoil it so I'm going to shut up and just tell you to go read it right now.
5/5 stars.

Obsidian Review

Reading Level:Young Adult
Publisher:Entangled Teen
First book Lux series
Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.And then he opened his mouth.Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens. The hot alien living next door marks me.You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If I don't kill him first, that is

Review
This book was seriously made for me. The whole time I was reading I kept thinking I love this book or this book is amazing. I finished it in about a day. I was depressed when it was over. I need more. Sadly I have to wait for the sequel.

The excitement starts right off the bat. We meet Katy who just moved from Florida to West Virginia. Katy finds herself living next to a pair of twins(so we think) and decides to go over and say hello. Daemon(the love of my life) answers the door and is incredibly rude to Katy. Later she meets his very nice and polite sister Dee. Katy has no idea but these twins are gonna turn her world upside down.

Katy was very easy to connect with being a book blogger. I love her snarky personality. She's human and somehow held her own with the aliens. I loved Dee she's so nice the complete opposite of Daemon. Let me just say I found Daemon incredibly hot. I absolutely adore him. He's snarky and hilarious. I knew eventually Katy and Daemon would get together. It takes basically the whole book. Even by the end they still weren't completely a couple. You can tell they like each other. I think they would be a good pair and I'm hoping they get together in the sequel.

The storyline was very suspenseful and exciting. It's impossible to guess what's gonna happen next. Jennifer L Armentrout has become my new obsession. Half blood was amazing and this was even better. I'm dying for the sequels. If you haven't read her books I highly recommend them :).

Review: Everneath by Brodi Ashton

Everneath (Everneath, #1)
Reading Level: Young Adult
Publisher:Harper Collins / Balzer + Bray
First in the Everneath trilogy

Last spring, Nikki Beckett vanished, sucked into an underworld known as the Everneath, where immortals Feed on the emotions of despairing humans. Now she's returned- to her old life, her family, her friends- before being banished back to the underworld... this time forever.

She has six months before the Everneath comes to claim her, six months for good-byes she can't find the words for, six months to find redemption, if it exists.

Nikki longs to spend these months reconnecting with her boyfriend, Jack, the one person she loves more than anything. But there's a problem: Cole, the smoldering immortal who first enticed her to the Everneath, has followed Nikki to the mortal world. And he'll do whatever it takes to bring her back- this time as his queen.

As Nikki's time grows short and her relationships begin slipping from her grasp, she's forced to make the hardest decision of her life: find a way to cheat fate and remain on the Surface with Jack or return to the Everneath and become Cole's...

I wanted to read this book as soon as I saw the cover and heard it was a Hades and Persephone retelling. As I've said a million times before I love Greek mythology it's one of my absolute favorite things to read about. But believe me if you think this is going to be just another retelling with a love triangle you are so wrong because it's so much more than that.

In Everneath the main character Nikki chooses to come back to her old life six months after she suddenly disappeared with no explanation to anyone but of course it's not like she can say where she really went: the Everneath. Now she has to make the best of the six months she has left to say the goodbyes she didn't get to say before but this time the goodbyes are for forever because unlike the original myth when she leaves the second time she has to stay in the Everneath forever. So of course this story is sad but it's also beautiful and it was written in a way that I've never read before. It switches back and forth between what is happening with Nikki in the present before she has to go back to the Everneath and the events that happened leading up to what is called 'the Feed' -which is basically what happens to her when she is in the Everneath the first time- and that might sound confusing probably because it's kind of hard to explain but it was done so well and it really made you connect to the characters a lot better than if it was written in just the present.

The romance between Nikki and Jack is the best friend turned boyfriend kind which I love and one one of my favorite things about the way this book jumps from past and present was that you got sort of twice the love story. Which I enjoyed very much because I absolutely adored Jack he was so sweet and protective of Nikki even though he really didn't know what was going on with her through most of the book. Plus he is a quarterback and I loved that about him so I had to include it in my review. There is another guy and his name is Cole. He's an Everliving which is an immortal who has to feed on the energy of humans to stay immortal and he is the one who took Nikki into the Everneath and basically fed on her. Then he follows her back to earth to try to convince her to go back with him and be his queen but Nikki is very adamant about that not happening. I really did not like Cole though he did have some redeeming qualities he just aggravated me. So without a doubt I am Team Jack.

Overall I thought this book was fabulous the ending made me super sad and it was a cliff-hanger so I am already dying for the next one. I would highly recommend this expecially if like me you love Greek retellings and if also like me you don't like love triangles because this is one of the better ones.

5/5 stars.

Review
This book seriously made my life. I've seen some pretty nasty reviews on goodreads. Personally I have no idea what these people are thinking. I adore this book with all my heart. The cover is beautiful and I love the butterflies on each new chapter. I will say the storyline wasn't extremely fast paced. For people who fall head over heels in love with characters its perfect. Sam and Ana spent so much time just talking and learning things about each other. I saw in reviews that a lot of people didn't like that. I loved it. You can just see the characters connect. I love how music is plays such a big part of the story . It makes me wanna go learn to play something. In the beginning I wasn't sure how I felt about Ana. Shes defensive about everything but I can see why. She's a new soul. She took someone else's life and everyone hates her for it.I'm the kinda person that believes everything happens for a reason. So Ana was born for a reason and I can't wait to find out why. I love Sam. He's just a sweetheart. He doesn't care what Ana is. He likes her for her and he doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Lin is the most manipulative person I've ever read about. I really liked Stef but I seriously hope her and Sam were never a thing. Overall this is honestly just one of those books you need to read. Why? Cause it amazing. That's really the only explanation I have :). I obviously have strong feeling about this. So read it or I'll hunt you down <3. 5/5 Stars

Tallen Quest Of The Demon Aftermath Joint Review

Tallen (Quest of the Demon Aftermath #1)
Tallen by M. L. Sawyer
Reading Level: Young Adult
Second in a series
Growing up not far from the road to Chinta on the edge of the Jungle Dragon, Tallen is excited to have her two brothers home. Recent times have been hard, Tallen herself barely surviving an attack by a derelict stranger in their very own barn.

The war that never was has relieved them of their duty at Chinta, so much so, that her father, the Sergeant of the Guard, is able to return for a visit, bringing news of a possible suitor for Tallen, given that she is almost of that age.

Tallen is not sure what she wants, and the man her father brings home is not what anyone expected. But at least she knows that her family has her best interests at heart when the pompous, self-interested merchant's son is sent back to Chinta.

The aftermath of the Offworlder's quest remains uncertain, the battle apparently lost. But for a reluctant Tallen, the journey is only just beginning, upon a path from which there may be no return

Family was such a big part of this. I was shocked when the fire happened and suddenly Tallen had no one. I knew that the same guy was gonna come back for her because everyone kept thinking about it. John finds Tallen and then it was like she had someone other then her adorable dog Wanderer . It was kinda like they both had no one and they were meant to find each other. I kept waiting for Tallen to give up on her revenge and get started with the quest Tassleian left for her. That never happened. Basically the whole book was about her getting revenge for her family. At first I thought that was kinda annoying but in the end it made perfect sense. That also leaves it open for a sequel which I would love.
Tallen is so much different than Darci. I found it easier to connect with her. Just that made this hard to put down. Wanderer is the most adorable sidekick ever. I really liked John. His protectiveness over Tallen was cute. He was like a fatherly figure. Tallen was kinda a brat when she left him at the inn. Mouse was so adorable. Rhody seriously made this book for me. I kept waiting for a love interest. Tallen and Rhody were super cute even if it was only for a little while. I'm gonna miss these characters. Over all I really liked this. I wouldn't say it was better then Quest of the Demon. Their about equal. But this was easier to connect with :). 4/5 Stars
-Jasmine :)

The beginning of this book was so sad and I totally did not see it coming. Basically her whole family dies and all she has left is Wanderer one of the puppy's of her dog who died too. I don't think I could go through what Tallen does in this book and not completely fall apart and I really liked Tallen because of that she was super strong even though she was mourning she didn't get that get in the way of what she was trying to do. Which was get revenge on Slevin the guy whose fault it was that her whole family died. This book was way different than Quest of the Demon because even though there was was a quest she needed to do she put that aside and the main plot was her trying to get revenge there as so much more than that. I really loved all the characters. Like I said Tallen is super strong and determined almost to determined. John was really supportive up until the end and I really liked him. Wanderer was probably my favorite even though he's a dog if I had a side-kick I would want it to be him :) Mouse was adorable he would be a good side-kick too and no he's not really a mouse. Rhody was awesome him and Tallen were super cute and I hope they can work it all out in the end. Slevin was absolutely horrible I hated him and he deserved everything that happened to him. Overall I liked this book as much as Quest of the Demon and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.
4/5 stars.

Quest Of The Demon Joint Review

cover.jpg
Reading Level :Young Adult
Publisher:Equilibrium Books
First book in a possible series
“Darci is your average every day sixteen year old girl who plays basketball and lives in an ordinary country town. Her life changes forever as she is 'accidentally zapped' to the land of Nahaba by the apprentice wizard Taslessian.

Within hours of her unexpected arrival, both teens are thrust into a dangerous journey to the cave of Grisham the Great, who will hopefully be able to send her home. When they get there however Darci soon finds out that there is no such things as accidents and that their journey is only just beginning.”

Jasmine's Review
This book was a perfect change for me. I haven't read a fantasy in forever. This started off exciting then around the middle it got kinda slow and then it picked back up around the end. I fell in love with the characters. Darci's just an ordinary human who gets sucked up into some other world and has no idea whats going on. Taslessian was cute in the beginning but around the middle he kinda got annoying. Lief I absolutely hated at first but by the end I adored him. He somewhat reminded me of the blond elf from lord of the rings :). Maledorian was hilarious and so was Defyance. Defyance's crush on Maledorian was super cute. I absolutely adored all the dragons. I love dragons and I haven't seen them very often in YA. One other thing I loved was how strong Darci became over the course of the book. It started with her always needing someone to protect her but she was incredibly strong by the end. Overall I loved this. I've heard rumors about a sequel and I'm hoping there is one. I highly recommend this :). 4/5 Stars

Marissa's Review
I really like fantasy but I don't read a lot of it. I also love books about quests. I love it when a group of characters who have almost nothing in common have to go on this adventure and it takes time and they change and by the time the quest is over they're almost different people. And I loved all the characters. The main character Darci is a normal human girl and she gets thrown into this new world and she handles is so well and I love how she became someone who can fight their own battles. I really liked Taslessian at first but he changes a lot during the book and by the end he's kind of distant. It was the opposite for me with Lief at first I really didn't like him but he was so sweet and he totally grew on me. Maledorian was so funny. He has been waiting his whole life for this quest but at the same time he didn't really know how to handle it at the beginning. Defyance was awesome she was this sort of mysterious warrior woman and I think her and Maledorian have a thing going on. But of course not everyone could live in the end but why did my favorite have to die :(.
I really liked the writing but it was a little confusing at times and there was some typos. Overall I really enjoyed this book there was dragons and ships and magic and it was awesome. 4/5 stars.

Waiting on Wednesday: Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is

Pure (Covenant, #2)
Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Publisher: Spencer Hill Press
Publication date: April Second 2012
Second book in Covenant series

There is need. And then there is Fate...

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.

When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

The wait for this is killing me slowly and painfully :(.I need Aiden in my life.He is the love of my life. I absolutely adored Half Blood. Its amazing. You can never go wrong with Greek mythology. I'm obsessed with this cover. Its one of my favorite covers ever.If you haven't read Half Blood I highly recommend it :).
